Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy

Individual Therapy

Therapy is a space for exploration, understanding, acceptance, and change. In Individual Therapy, you set the goals for what to discuss and work through in sessions. This can span from working on life functioning problems, reducing negative mental health symptoms, or desiring to explore and understand yourself more deeply.

I often work with clients experiencing issues with mood disorders (anxiety, depression, anger, etc.), high stress and life transitions, grief, trauma, and more. I have training in multiple forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapies, and transgenerational therapies.

Individual Therapy may be covered with the following providers: Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Other health insurance plans may still cover the costs of individual therapy through reimbursement. Because every plan is different please inquire with your insurance provider for more details.

Session Length: 50 minutes

Cost Per Session: $125

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy is the best place to experience change for the whole couple. All topics and goals discussed in couples therapy are co-created. I am completely comfortable working with couples in crisis, and working to first de-escalate conflict so that collaboration of the couple can begin. Couples therapy is effective for couples at any stage, be it navigating dating, premarital work, or a tune up after decades together. If you have any questions about whether individual or couples therapy can improve your relationship, please read more about that here.

I have been trained in all three levels of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and I utilize a lot of interventions based in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and Structural Family Therapies. I often begin with goals for communication in order to facilitate the rest of the work in therapy. Having effective means to communicate, especially when incorporating vulnerable emotions into the communication, is key to maintaining trust and happiness in a relationship.

Insurance companies often do not cover Couples Therapy directly, but some plans will reimburse session costs. Contact your insurance provider about this option if you are interested.

Session Length: 55 minutes

Cost Per Session: $180

Family Therapy

Having the whole family come together on a common goal can be a very powerful and rewarding experience. Some families want to strengthen bonds, and others need to make the process of getting out the door in the morning a little less of a nightmare.

Currently, I am only able to accommodate families that are actively participating in another modality of therapy along with family sessions. An example of this would be parents also engaging in couples therapy, or various members of the family engaging in individual therapy. Ethically, one therapist cannot provide multiple modalities of therapy to a client, so this requires collaboration with another therapist.

Insurance does not cover Family Therapy directly, but some plans will reimburse session costs. Contact your insurance provider about this option if you are interested.

Session Length: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Cost Per Session: Starting at $250 for three people, +$50 per additional person.

Please Note: If you are not paying for sessions with insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services. You will be notified, in advance of booking and receiving services, of the cost of all reasonably expected and non-emergency services. Please inquire for a Good Faith Estimate, or for more information about the Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act.
